The Transterpreter: Background

A Bit of History

Over the next few weeks, I'll be talking about a (fairly) substantial systems-level project that I've been involved in over the past... decade?

This first presentation first looks at the process of parallelizing an algorithm, then explores the occam programming language (in brief, through one example), and then dives a bit deeper in to the notion of behavioral control and emergent behaviors (at the intersection of systems, robotics, and AI) as our first extended example.
